FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today in tandem with gains in the underlying cash market.  

The March 2025 contract rose 12.5 points to 1,520.0, April 2025 and June 2025 gained 13.5 points each to 1,523.0 and 1,525.5 respectively, and September 2025 added 13.0 points to 1,512.0

Turnover shrank to 6,916 lots from 11,981 lots on Friday, while open interest narrowed to 44,243 contracts from 49,602 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI increased by 15.66 points, or 1.04 per cent, to 1,527.81 from Friday’s close of 1,512.15.  

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will be closed tomorrow (March 18) in conjunction with the Nuzul Al-Quran public holiday.
