TikTok Shop Creator Idol 2025 Spotlights Malaysia’s Rising Stars

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s top rising TikTok Shop creators were celebrated at the TikTok Shop Creator Idol 2025 Recognition Awards recently, marking the success of TikTok Shop’s mentorship-driven programme in nurturing the next wave of affiliate creators under the guidance of industry experts.

After 12 weeks of immersive learning, mentorship, and content-driven commerce challenges, Tiktok said the event honoured the top-performing mentees who have demonstrated exceptional growth, innovation, and dedication to their craft.

“As affiliate marketing continues to gain momentum in Malaysia, more creators are discovering new ways to find alternative sources of income and build sustainable growth.

“Through mentorship and hands-on learning, Creator Idol 2025 has empowered rising creators to refine their strategies, embrace live commerce, and drive real results,” it said in a statement.

Creator Idol 2025 Mentor, famously known as Pinn Yang, said the programme was designed not only to give creators an audience but also to equip them with the right tools, training, and knowledge to turn their creativity into a sustainable source of income.

“Seeing these mentees grow and embrace new opportunities has been nothing short of inspiring,” the founder of Good Foodie Media and TikTok Shop Creator of the Year 2024 was quoted as saying in the statement.

Meanwhile, founder of Sambal Nyet, Khairul Aming, said TikTok Shop’s affiliate ecosystem was rapidly reshaping the creator economy in Malaysia, empowering everyday content creators to become full-fledged entrepreneurs.

The TikTok Creator of the Year 2023, who is also a mentor, said the Creator Idol programme has proven that with the right guidance and platform, aspiring creators can transform their content into sustainable sources of income.

“We’ve seen mentees go from experimenting with affiliate marketing to mastering live commerce, achieving exponential growth in both engagement and sales. This is just the beginning, the potential for affiliate creators in Malaysia is limitless,” he said in the statement.

The winners of Creator Idol 2025 were Alex Jee in the electronics category, Riha Jamil (beauty), Nabilah Nazib (lifestyle), Adimuhadi Shop (fashion) and Syeikh Omar Sadeq (food and beverage).

Nabilah, an entrepreneur who started from zero as an affiliate, said through the programme, she optimised her approach, expanded her reach, and achieved more than RM300,000 in sales within just three weeks.

“This experience has pushed me to create better, more engaging content, and I’m grateful for the mentorship that helped me refine my strategy,” she said.
