ITMAX Bags RM30.2 Mln Video Surveillance Contract In Pengerang

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- ITMAX System Bhd’s subsidiary, Southmax Sdn Bhd, has secured a video surveillance contract worth RM30.2 million from the Pengerang Municipal Council for the installation of a closed-circuit camera system with artificial intelligence (AI) features and the establishment of a smart integrated operations centre.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Itmax System said the contract period is from March 25, 2025, to March 24, 2040.

Its managing director and chief executive officer, William Tan Wei Lun, said the contract from the MPP was the company’s fifth AI video surveillance contract in Johor.

He said the achievement reflects the trust placed in ITMAX’s smart city solutions and further expands their presence in the state.

“Our AI-driven video surveillance system will support the city council in improving operational efficiency in a more cost-effective approach.

“Beyond providing long-term revenue visibility for the group, this contract aligns with our commitment to advancing smart city initiatives and fostering safer, more connected communities,” he said in a separate statement.
