SVO.ai-Dury Dury Partnership To Boost AI-Driven Durian Business

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- Artificial intelligence (AI) commerce platform SVO.ai has entered into a strategic partnership with local durian brand Dury Dury to accelerate digital transformation in Malaysia’s traditional agriculture sector and expand the nation’s “King of Fruits” into global markets across Asia and Europe.

In a statement, SVO.ai said the collaboration leverages AI technology to deliver a full-chain transformation of the durian industry, covering branding, marketing, sales and customer service.

"Dury Dury has been named SVO.ai’s first strategic partner, showcasing how AI can power agricultural exports," it said.

Founded to empower success in online business, SVO.ai integrates AI capabilities across content creation, marketing, advertising, customer service and the purchase journey.

SVO.ai co-founders Andrew Lim and Justin Teow said the platform’s mission is to simplify processes and enhance business capabilities, enabling brands to automate, scale and globalise their supply chains.

Lim said durian, particularly the Musang King variety, has become an international symbol for Malaysia.

“SVO.ai's vision is to become Asia’s most trusted AI commerce platform, enabling brands to go global seamlessly,” he said.

This partnership exemplifies the integration of AI technology with traditional agriculture and offers a model for Malaysian enterprises to leapfrog growth through innovation, while strengthening Malaysia’s position as a global durian powerhouse, he added.

Lim and Teow noted that at the core of the partnership is SVO.ai’s AI-driven marketing and sales engine, which leverages big data to generate compelling content and deliver personalised campaigns.

They said its 24/7 AI-powered customer service enhances consumer trust, while the platform’s rigorous vetting ensures only proven products are onboarded.

Dury Dury founder Micheal Wong said the brand exports fresh durians to China, Hong Kong and Macau. It is working with logistics providers such as SF Express to ensure 24 to 48 hours delivery for maximum freshness.

“Trust is the biggest challenge in online transactions. Dury Dury guarantees one-to-one replacements for durians with quality issues,” Wong said.

Co-founder Raymond Teh said SVO.ai’s AI tools will allow the brand to bypass intermediaries, gain greater control over pricing and expand into Europe, the United States and the Middle East.

Established in 2021, Dury Dury has quickly emerged as a prominent durian brand, serving over 300,000 customers to date.

The company operates 202.34 hectares (500 acres) of plantations in Bentong and Raub, Pahang, which ensures up to 10 months of annual supply.

Its flagship outlet on Jalan Alor is Malaysia’s first durian store to adopt an open kitchen and dual-knife opening technique.
