SME Venture@ASEAN 2025: Vital Platform For SMEs Expansion

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 (Bernama) -- SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 will take place from Oct 16-18, 2025 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

Hosted by SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), the inaugural event has gathered momentum with a wave of strategic partnerships to explore its regional footprint and enhance value for businesses and visitors.

SME Corp said the three-day event has shaped up to be a dynamic small and medium enterprises (SME) business platform for Malaysia’s ASEAN chairmanship this year, with seven key organisations having come on board.

The key organisations include government agencies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Tourism Malaysia, with key strategic partners such as Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, Pos Malaysia, Perodua, Bubbles O2 and Media Prima Omnia.

“The SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 will host two high-level knowledge sharing forums, co-organised with partners who will be lending both credibility and content expertise.

“The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Forum is co-organised in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The ASEAN SME forum is co-organised with the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA),” it said in a statement.

The event will feature more than 350 local and international exhibitors, with the business-to-business (B2B) exhibition showcasing eight high-impact sectors – electrical and electronics, drone and aerospace, oil and gas, medical devices, biotechnology, halal technology and smart agriculture, mobility, and the green economy.

Participating SMEs will take part in 300 business matching sessions with buyers, investors, and anchor companies from across the region via GoASEAN Biz Match.

An event highlight is the ASEAN Market Fair with food and beverages, wellness products, textiles and fashion, handicrafts, and travel packages on display for the public.

SME Corp chief executive officer Rizal Nainy said the SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 is the flagship SME event for ASEAN this year. He encourages Malaysian SMEs to leverage this vital platform and its regional connections to showcase their brands, services and innovations to grow their business.
