KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, through its service brand Yes, has launched its first 5G Advanced prepaid product with the introduction of the yes 5g advanced starter pack.

Chief executive officer Wing K Lee said Yes becomes the first telco in Malaysia to offer 5G Advanced technology on prepaid, making premium next-generation connectivity accessible to everyone and allowing more Malaysians to benefit from faster, more responsive connectivity that fits the demands of modern life.

“When Yes 5G advanced was launched in October, we upgraded all our postpaid and broadband customers to enjoy the latest world-class 5G technology at no extra cost. Today, we are bringing 5G Advanced to all prepaid customers,” he said in a statement today.

Priced at just RM10, the starter pack offers 20GB data, uncapped speed and an industry-leading 30-day validity, the longest among all RM10 prepaid plans in the market.

Wing said following its debut in October in the Klang Valley, Yes has completed the rollout of Yes 5g advanced to its entire 5G network footprint, which now stands at 82.4 per cent coverage in populated areas nationwide, reaffirming its leadership in 5G in Malaysia and cementing Malaysia’s enviable position as the ninth country globally to enjoy this pre-6G standard.
