KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, in line with the decline in the cash market.

The May 2026 contract fell 20.5 points to 1,749.5, the June 2026 contract lost 20.0 points to 1,749.0, the September 2026 contract reduced 19.5 points to 1,729.5, and the December 2026 contract declined 17.0 points to 1,732.0.

Turnover contracted to 6,123 lots from 8,756 lots yesterday, while open interest slid to 38,616 contracts from 41,372 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped 10.79 points, or 0.61 per cent, to its intraday low of 1,748.06 from Thursday’s close of 1,758.85.
