KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher in line with the positive performance of the cash market. 

The July 2026, August 2026, and September 2026 contracts were 7.5 points higher at 1,668.5, 1,669.5 and 1,650.0, respectively, while the December 2026 contract gained 6.5 points to 1,652.5.

Turnover declined to 5,272 lots from 7,205 lots on Wednesday, while open interest dropped to 32,961 contracts from 33,937 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 5.0 points, or 0.30 per cent, to 1,661.83 from yesterday’s close of 1,656.83.
