WCT Holdings Accepts RM926.2 Mln Construction Contract In Abu Dhabi

KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -- WCT Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary has accepted a RM926.20 million construction sub-contract in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, through a 50:50 joint venture (JV) with Construction General Contracting House Ltd (CGCH).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WCT said WCT International Bhd and UAE-incorporated CGCH, through their 50:50 yet-to-be-incorporated joint venture, accepted the sub-contract letter of award issued by CGCH.

The job scope involves jointly undertaking, executing and completing the construction works for the Yas Riva Residences.

The project, owned and developed by Aldar Development LLC, involves the construction and completion of six residential buildings, each comprising 11 levels, in Abu Dhabi. 

"Following the acceptance of the sub-contract, WCT International Sdn Bhd and CGCH shall, as soon as reasonably practicable, either directly or through their respective wholly owned subsidiaries, incorporate the JV company,” the filing said.

The sub-contract works are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and be completed in about 40 months, or within 1,218 days from the commencement thereof, it said.
