Oppo Unveils Reno16 Series With AI-Powered Photography
PUTRAJAYA, July 8 (Bernama) -- OPPO today launched the Reno16 Series in Malaysia, with the introduction of a new smartphone lineup featuring artificial intelligence (AI)-powered photography, creative editing tools and a refreshed design aimed at enhancing content creation for users.
The Reno16 Series comprises the Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G, all equipped with the new three-dimensional (3D) Pop Planet Design, AI imaging features and OPPO’s ColorOS 16 to deliver a more intuitive and expressive mobile content creation experience.
OPPO Malaysia director of marketing Monica Qin said the Reno series has consistently focused on helping users preserve meaningful moments through photography.
“Reno has always focused on one thing, and that is capturing the fun highlights in your life to make a moment,” she said during the Reno16 Series launch here today.
According to a statement, the series also introduces an industry-first HoloVerse 3D Technology on the Pop White edition, creating a floating, nebula-inspired visual effect through millions of micro-lenses that reconstruct light to produce a three-dimensional appearance.
Meanwhile, the new AI-powered features introduced in the Reno16 Series include Pop Cam, AI Remix Collage, Popout Collage 2.0, 4K Auto Straighten Video, AI Snap Key, AI Mind Space, and AI Mind Pilot, which are designed to simplify content creation, editing, and everyday productivity.
“The Reno16 Series combines the latest ColorOS 16 with a range of intelligent AI-powered experiences that make everyday interactions more intuitive, personalised and efficient,” it said.
The Reno16 Pro also features a 200-megapixel Ultra Clear Main Camera, while all three models come with a 50-megapixel Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera and a triple rear-camera system.
The devices are equipped with batteries of 6,700 milliampere-hours (mAh) or more, with the Reno16 F offering up to 7,000 mAh, alongside up to 80-watt SUPERVOOC fast charging, depending on the model.
Alongside the smartphone series, OPPO also introduced OPPO Bubble, a magnetic companion device featuring an Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) display that functions as a rear-camera monitor, remote viewfinder and customisable accessory.
The Reno16 Series is now available for pre-order through OPPO Malaysia’s authorised distribution channels, with the Reno16 Pro 5G available in Pop White and Starlight Black, priced at RM3,699.
Meanwhile, the Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G, offered in Pop White, Twilight Violet and Dream Purple, start from RM2,699 and RM1,999, respectively.
