KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today.

The July 2026 and December 2026 contracts fell 5.0 points each to 1,680.0 and 1,662.0, respectively.

The August 2026 contract slid 3.0 points to 1,681.50 while the September 2026 contract fell 4.5 points to 1,660.50.

Turnover increased to 5,574 lots from 4,503 lots on Tuesday, while open interest rose to 36,179 contracts from 33,657 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI inched up 0.68 of a point to 1,683.61 from Tuesday's close of 1,682.93.
