ASSAR Declares 6.5 Sen Per Unit Dividend For FY2026

KUCHING, July 13 (Bernama) -- Amanah Saham Sarawak (ASSAR) today announced a dividend distribution of 6.5 sen per unit for the financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026).

Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the total distribution amounting to RM34.35 million includes an interim distribution of 3.0 sen per unit paid on Feb 16.

"The remaining distribution of 3.5 sen per unit will be made before the end of July and allocated to 57,926 ASSAR unit holders based on their unit holdings as of June 30, 2026.

"I hope the dividend distribution rate is competitive enough, supported by sustainable income reserves, to further encourage the spirit and interest in investment among the Bumiputera community in Sarawak, especially the younger generation," he told reporters at the ASSAR Dividend Announcement Ceremony here today.

Abang Johari said that since the restructuring of the ASSAR Fund at the end of 2022, ASSAR has continued to show consistent performance improvement.

"ASSAR has now successfully distributed dividends consistently every six months since January 2024. Cumulatively, the total post-restructuring dividend distribution has reached RM72.09 million.
