KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Friday. 

The July 2026 and December 2026 contracts rose 9.5 points to 1,737.0 and 1,718.5, respectively, while August 2026 added 8.5 points to 1,737.0 and September 2026 was eight points firmer at 1,716.0.

Turnover was firmer at 7,348 lots compared with 6,597 on Thursday, while open interest widened to 47,501 contracts from 45,371 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI gained 9.26 points, or 0.54 per cent, to close at 1,731.45 from Thursday’s close of 1,722.19.
