Gold Futures End Higher In Tandem With COMEX Gains
KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today in tandem with gains in gold prices on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month July 2026 contract rose to US$4,018.50 per troy ounce from US$4,003.50 per troy ounce on last Friday, the August 2026 contract increased to US$4,038.30 per troy ounce from US$4,021.70 per troy ounce, and September 2026 went up to US$4,051.40 per troy ounce from US$4,034.70 per troy ounce.
The October 2026 and December 2026 contracts both edged up to US$4,081.90 per troy ounce from US$4,065.2 per troy ounce previously.
Trading volume declined to 51 lots from 130 lots last Friday, while open interest weakened to 127 from 202 contracts.
Physical gold was fixed at US$3,995.35 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 17, 2026.
