Gold Futures End Higher Tracking COMEX Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking gains in gold prices on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the spot-month July 2026 contract rose to US$4,065.70 per troy ounce from US$4,018.50 per troy ounce on Monday, the August 2026 contract increased to US$4,085.50 per troy ounce from US$4,038.30 per troy ounce, and September 2026 went up to US$4,098.60 per troy ounce from US$4,051.40 per troy ounce.

The October 2026 and December 2026 contracts both climbed to US$4,129.10 per troy ounce from US$4,081.90 per troy ounce previously.

Trading volume improved to 117 lots from 51 lots yesterday, while open interest strengthened to 185 contracts from 127 contracts yesterday.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,003.55 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 20, 2026.
