Tabung Haji Becomes Substantial Shareholder In Focus Point

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has emerged as a substantial shareholder in Focus Point Holdings Bhd after acquiring 570,000 ordinary shares in the optical retail chain operator on July 21.

Focus Point said the pilgrim’s fund, which previously had a 4.96 per cent stake, now holds a total of 31.078 million ordinary shares, representing a 5.056 per cent direct stake in the company.

”The percentage of interest excludes 1.34 million ordinary shares bought back by the company and retained as treasury shares," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

Of the total direct holding of 31.078 million shares, 23.18 million shares are registered under TH, while the remaining 7.898 million shares, including the newly acquired shares, are held through Citigroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd – Lembaga Tabung Haji (Eastspring).
