Gold Futures End Lower In Sync With COMEX
KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking weaker gold prices on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month July 2026 contract fell to US$4,091.50 per troy ounce from US$4,121.30 per troy ounce on Wednesday, the August 2026 contract slipped to US$4,111.80 per troy ounce from US$4,141.10 per troy ounce, and September 2026 went down to US$4,125.20 per troy ounce from US$4,154.80 per troy ounce.
The October 2026 and December 2026 contracts both eased to US$4,155.70 per troy ounce from US$4,185.30 per troy ounce previously.
Trading volume declined to 156 lots from 168 lots yesterday, while open interest slid to 225 contracts from 236 contracts yesterday.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,155.10 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 22, 2026.
