Econpile Wins RM39.52 Mln Sub-contract For Bored Piling, Sub-structure Works

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- Econpile Holdings Bhd has been awarded a sub-contract worth RM39.52 million from WCT Construction Sdn Bhd to undertake the earthworks, bored piling and sub-structure works here at Jalan Awan Besar in Mukim Petaling.

Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd, received the letter of award for the proposed commercial development consisting of four blocks of five-storey commercial shop units, comprising 68 units, two levels of sub-basement car park, and one commercial unit, one main switch station and one refuse chamber. 

The project is expected to be completed within 15 months from July 29, 2026 onwards. It will contribute positively to the company’s revenue from the financial year ending June 30, 2027 onwards. 

"There are no foreseeable significant risks other than operational risk associated with the project during the contract period. 

"The management would put in place control measures and operational procedures to reduce the impact or likelihood of such events," said the civil engineering company in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

It also noted that none of the directors or major shareholders of the company or persons connected to them have any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the project.
