GFM Services Bags RM83.1 Mln Release Orders For Works At Pengerang Integrated Complex
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- GFM Services Bhd’s energy division has secured additional release orders totalling RM83.1 million for major turnaround work packages at the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Johor.
It said the release orders comprise RM16.3 million secured by its wholly owned subsidiary, Highbase Strategic Sdn Bhd, from Petronas Chemicals Isononanol Sdn Bhd and RM66.8 million clinched by its 60 per cent-owned indirect subsidiary, Shapadu CR Asia Sdn Bhd (SCRA), from Pengerang Refining Company Sdn Bhd.
“These release orders were secured under GFM Services’ existing integrated turnaround main mechanical and maintenance mechanical static contract.
“The works are expected to commence in 2027,” it said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.
The integrated facilities management services provider said that together with the RM148.2 million in release orders announced on July 10, 2026, the group has now secured work packages with a cumulative value of RM231.3 million for the upcoming turnaround cycle at PIC.
PIC, which began operations in 2019, is preparing for its first major turnaround cycle.
GFM said the turnaround involves an extensive range of maintenance, inspection and replacement works across the integrated downstream complex to support the continued reliability, safety and efficiency of its operations.
“The additional scopes secured by Highbase and SCRA add to the manhour requirements already flagged for the July release orders, further reinforcing the scale of the turnaround programme.
“The group expects the release orders to contribute positively to earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2027,” it added.
GFM group managing director Ruslan Nordin said the latest awards demonstrate the depth of expertise and complementary capabilities that the group has developed across its energy division and also reinforce GFM’s position as a trusted service provider within Malaysia’s downstream oil and gas industry.
Besides Highbase Strategic and SCRA, GFM's energy division also comprises HIMS Integrated Services Sdn Bhd, a 51 per cent-owned joint venture with Singapore-based oil and gas integrated solutions provider Mun Siong Engineering Ltd.
