Univar Solutions Acquires H.M. Royal To Expand Performance Materials Business

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- Univar Solutions LLC (Univar Solutions) has acquired H.M. Royal, a 101-year-old speciality distributor of rubber, plastics and adhesive additives, to strengthen its Performance Materials business and expand its presence in the United States (US).

In a statement, the company said the acquisition enhances its Ingredients + Specialties division by expanding access to specialised products, technical expertise and long-standing customer relationships, particularly on the US East and West Coasts, where H.M. Royal has an established presence.

Univar Solutions Chief Executive Officer of Ingredients + Specialties, Nick Powell said H.M. Royal brings deep technical expertise in rubber, plastics and adhesives, as well as long-standing customer and supplier relationships, enabling the combined business to better support customers in the US.

Meanwhile, H.M. Royal President, Joseph Royal said joining Univar Solutions would enable the company to build on its long-standing expertise and create new opportunities for employees, customers and supply partners.

The combined organisation is expected to provide customers and supplier partners with broader product access, expanded technical support and greater supply continuity while building on the two companies' century-long industry experience.

Univar Solutions is a global distributor of speciality chemicals and ingredients, providing supply chain, logistics and technical solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.
