Gamuda Wins RM1.71 Bln Contract To Build Hyperscale Data Centre In Port Dickson

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- Gamuda Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a RM1.71 billion construction contract for a hyperscale data centre (DC) project in Port Dickson by a US-based multinational technology company.

The engineering, property development, and infrastructure group said the scope of works for the single-storey hyperscale DC project comprises site infrastructure works, building core and shell construction, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) fit-out construction.

It said the project would commence in the third quarter (3Q) 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2Q 2028.  "The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Gamuda for the financial year ending July 31, 2027 until the completion of the project," Gamuda said in a stock exchange filing.

The company said the project is subject to the normal construction risk of material price fluctuations, and would mitigate the risk with its experience and expertise in construction projects.

"Gamuda will make the necessary announcement to Bursa Malaysia as and when there is any material development in relation to the said project," it added.
