Sarawak To Host IDECS 2026 In October

KUCHING, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The ninth International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2026 will be held from Oct 5 to 6 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) under the theme 'Scaling Innovation Ecosystems for a Borderless Economy: Earth, Orbit and Beyond'.

Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) deputy general manager Dr Suhaila Jaffar said the Digital Economy Awards (DEA) 2026 will be held in conjunction with the conference, with the presentation ceremony taking place during the IDECS 2026 gala dinner.

"DEA 2026 aims to recognise organisations and individuals for initiatives that contribute to digital transformation, sustainability and inclusive growth in line with Sarawak's digital economy agenda.
