Airbus Says July Orders Increased 2.8 Times To 204 Aircraft
MOSCOW, Aug 7 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- European aerospace corporation Airbus received commercial orders for 204 aircraft in July, a 2.8-fold increase from June, the company said on Friday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
Since the beginning of the year, Airbus has received orders for a total of 1,090 aircraft.
After accounting for cancellations, net orders since the start of the year totalled 1,024 aircraft, according to the report.
Aircraft deliveries to customers fell by 25 per cent in July to 67, compared with 89 aircraft in June. Since the start of the year, 418 aircraft have been delivered, the report said.
Airbus is one of the world's largest aerospace and defence enterprises. It comprises Airbus SAS, which manufactures passenger aircraft, Airbus Defence and Space, and Airbus Helicopters.
