MRCB's Indirect Unit To Dispose Of 14.83-hectare Land In Cyberjaya For RM419.05 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd’s indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Subang Sentral Sdn Bhd, is disposing of 14.83 hectares of land in Cyberjaya, Selangor, to Digital Cosmos (S) Pte Ltd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Digital Cosmos Malaysia Sdn Bhd, for RM419.05 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, MRCB said Subang Sentral has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Digital Cosmos for the proposed disposal.

MRCB said the proposed disposal is in line with the group's strategy to unlock the value of its non-core landbank and optimise capital efficiency.

“The cash proceeds generated will strengthen MRCB's financial position by facilitating the repayment of outstanding borrowings, thereby reducing gearing and improving cash flow management.

“Additionally, the reallocation of capital will provide the group with enhanced financial flexibility to fund its other large-scale development projects and infrastructure pipelines,” it added.

MRCB said barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to all relevant approvals/consents being obtained, the proposed disposal is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027.
