Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ Electric With AI-powered MB.OS, Arrives In Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is bringing its new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) to the Malaysian market through the all-new CLA 250+ electric, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) from Google and Microsoft into its latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system.
Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia chief operating officer Nadia Trimmel said the model combines its electric range, rapid charging capability and MB.OS to enhance the driving experience in its segment.
“MB.OS is the brain behind it, making MBUX even more intuitive and personal.
“With its impressive electric range, rapid charging capability, and MB.OS, the CLA 250+ electric brings together technologies that redefine what customers can expect from a vehicle in this segment,” she said during the launch of the model here today.
In a statement, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said CLA 250+ electric is the first vehicle to operate entirely on MB.OS, which controls the infotainment, as well as driving and charging functions, among others, while enabling over-the-air updates across the vehicle’s software architecture.
“With a range of up to 792 kilometres according to Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ electric offers a large radius in its class.
"It combines high efficiency with immense driving exhilaration and outstanding performance, accelerating from zero to 100 kilometres per hour (km/h) in just 6.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of up to 210 km/h,” it said.
Priced at RM274,888 on-the-road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia, the model comes with a four-year manufacturer warranty.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is also integrating public charging, navigation and payment services into a single platform through MB.CHARGE Public for its all-electric and plug-in hybrid customers.
Trimmel said the service would make public charging easier to access and manage by bringing together Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz application and its charging point operator partners.
“Whether you drive an all-electric or plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz, MB.CHARGE brings charging, navigation, and payment into one single, seamless customer journey and platform,” she said.
