KLCI Futures End Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday.

The August 2026 and December 2026 contracts reduced six points each to 1,726.0 and 1,706.5, respectively.

The September 2026 contract slid five points to 1,705.0 and March 2027 contract erased 6.5 points to 1,689.0.

Turnover decreased to 5,382 lots from 6,629 lots on Thursday, while open interest eased to 41,862 contracts from 44,568 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell by 7.32 points to 1,727.39 from Thursday’s close of 1,734.71.
