BizMatch Mega PKNS 2026 Strengthens Selangor Entrepreneurs' Ecosystem

SHAH ALAM, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) continues to strengthen the state's entrepreneurship ecosystem through BizMatch Mega PKNS 2026, which brought together about 1,200 entrepreneurs at the Selangor International Trade Centre (SITC) today.

The large-scale business matching programme serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to connect directly with public and private sector financing and entrepreneurship agencies, opening up access to funding, grants, business development programmes and market opportunities.

State Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi said the initiative is an excellent platform for exposing entrepreneurs to international markets, including through participation in the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), scheduled for Sept 3 to 6.

"Our focus is on SME (small and medium enterprise) entrepreneurs with quality products, helping them in terms of marketing and exports," he said after officiating BizMatch Mega PKNS 2026 at SITC here today.

This year's BizMatch Mega PKNS 2026 involves 49 agencies, including financial institutions, entrepreneur development agencies, certification bodies, as well as state and federal government agencies, providing a more comprehensive support ecosystem for entrepreneurs in Selangor.

Through the counters and consultation areas provided, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to obtain first-hand information on various facilities and services, submit applications for financing and grants, and participate in suitable entrepreneurship development programmes.

Participating agencies include the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN), Halal Development Corporation Bhd (HDC), Invest Selangor Bhd and MyIPO, as well as financial institutions such as Maybank, CIMB, Affin Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), SME Bank, Bank Islam, Agrobank, RHB and Bank Muamalat.

Meanwhile, PKNS Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mahmud Abbas said PKNS remained committed to providing a comprehensive business support ecosystem, from the early stages of entrepreneurship to accessing global markets.

He said entrepreneurs need to actively seek opportunities and expand their business networks to increase profits and unlock the growth potential of their existing enterprises.

"PKNS is deeply committed to assisting entrepreneurs and businesses in Selangor. I hope those attending today will make the most of the opportunities available to advance their respective businesses," he said.

For 2026, PKNS also plans to organise six BizMatch series events, including roadshows in Sabah and Sarawak, a dedicated business matching programme with Affin Bank, and special engagements with hypermarket chains to help entrepreneurs penetrate the local retail market.
