KLCI Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday.

The August 2026 and March 2027 contracts gained eight points each to 1,738.5 and 1,699.0, respectively, while September 2026 added 8.5 points 1,717.5 and December 2026 rose 6.5 points to 1,717.0.

Turnover decreased to 7,230 lots from 10,065 lots on Wednesday, while open interest slid to 46,315 contracts from 46,972 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 5.39 points, or 0.31 per cent, to 1,736.71, compared with Wednesday’s close of 1,731.32.
