Geohan Secures RM37 Mln High-rise Residential Contract

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- Geohan Corporation Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Geohan Sdn Bhd has secured a letter of award (LoA) for a RM37 million contract from Chin Hin Property (Segambut) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Chin Hin Group Property Bhd.

The foundation and geotechnical specialist said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that Geohan will serve as the specialist contractor for earthworks, piling and substructure construction for a high-rise residential development in Mukim Batu, Kuala Lumpur.

"The development comprises two serviced apartment towers of 58 storeys and 55 storeys respectively, with a total of 1,546 units. The works are slated for completion by end-August 2027," it said.

Geohan said the contract brings its year-to-date contract wins to approximately RM250 million, while its total outstanding order book has increased to RM457 million.

Meanwhile, the group’s revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q FY2026) rose 17.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter to RM121.8 million, its highest quarterly revenue to date.

For the six-month period, Geohan recorded revenue of RM225.4 million and profit after tax of RM500,000, despite higher building material costs amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

Its managing director Lee Kim Seng said the company remains cautious amid prevailing industry headwinds, but opportunities secured over the past few months, coupled with a growing pipeline of emerging projects, have strengthened the group’s optimism and confidence in the outlook ahead.

“As demonstrated in the second quarter, the Geohan brand has stood the test of time and remained resilient through challenging market conditions, underpinned by our steadfast commitment to fulfilling our responsibilities to clients and consistently delivering projects in line with their expectations and timelines,” he said.
