RHB Bank 2Q Net Profit Rises Marginally To RM807.15 Mln
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- RHB Bank Bhd registered a marginal increase in net profit to RM807.15 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q FY2026), from RM803.50 million in the previous corresponding quarter, attributed to higher total income and lower expected credit losses.
Revenue for the quarter under review slipped to RM4.35 billion from RM4.50 billion recorded in 2Q FY2025, the bank said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.
RHB posted an increase in net profit of RM1.66 billion for the first half ended June 30, 2026 (1H FY2026) from RM1.55 billion in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue for the period under review stood at RM8.62 billion compared with RM8.88 billion previously.
Meanwhile, the group declared an interim dividend of 15 sen per share.
RHB Banking Group group managing director/group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Rashid Mohamad said its first half performance reflects the disciplined execution of PROGRESS27, supported by effective cost optimisation, sound asset quality and purposeful innovation.
“We are making steady progress in transforming RHB into a more trusted and customer-centric solutions partner, with a continued focus on delivering sustainable value to our customers,” he said in a statement.
Mohd Rashid said during the quarter, the bank launched RHB PAY, Malaysia’s first bank-owned unified online payment gateway, strengthening its digital payment capabilities and enabling it to better support its merchants.
He added that RHB PAY is expected to be a key catalyst for strengthening merchant partnerships, expanding transaction flows and driving up to RM500 million in incremental current and savings account (CASA) growth by year-end.
