Boomi Enables Brickworks To Modernise Integration Architecture

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- Boomi announced that Brickworks has modernised its integration architecture using the Boomi Enterprise Platform, unlocking previously inaccessible enterprise data, accelerating technology delivery and building a scalable foundation for future growth.

Boomi in a statement said the platform enables the Australian building products company to reduce integration complexity, accelerate project delivery and activate enterprise data through a reusable integration architecture.

Known for its strong portfolio of brands across Australia, New Zealand and North America, Brickworks supplies a large range of building products to residential, commercial and infrastructure markets. The company combines manufacturing capabilities, design-led products and a strong customer-facing brand presence.

The company acknowledged the need to strengthen its core operational capabilities and modernise its technology foundations to keep pace. To support future growth, Brickworks set out to establish a scalable, reusable integration architecture capable of activating trusted enterprise data.

Brickworks also engaged long-standing Boomi partner Atturra to implement Boomi Companion alongside its Atturra Integration Accelerator (AIA) to connect Brickworks' product information management system with its content management system.

Rather than pursuing a traditional integration build, which could have taken more than 80 business days, the artificial intelligence (AI)-driven approach compressed delivery to 12 days, standing up 18 interfaces while meaningfully reducing cost.

The solution produced thorough and easily maintainable documentation, allowing late-stage changes to be handled through simple iteration rather than starting over. Atturra's AIA, along with its subject-matter expertise, gave the Brickworks team added confidence in the design decisions behind the automation.

According to Boomi, the project reflects a broader shift in Brickworks’ approach to integration, building platform-based architecture patterns that unlock speed, reliability, and reuse for future initiatives.

Going forward, Brickworks' strategy is to build on the scalable, secure foundations already established, extending strong governance across data integration and automation as the business scales. It plans to expand its use of agentic AI capabilities within the Boomi Enterprise Platform while continuing to build the trusted partnerships it has formed.
