Xiaomi Launches REDMI Note 17 Series, New Wearable Lineup In Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- Xiaomi Corporation today launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, comprising four new models including its first-ever Pro Max variant, alongside its latest lineup of smart wearables.
In a statement today, the Beijing-based consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company said the REDMI Note 17 Series consists of four new models, namely the REDMI Note 17, REDMI Note 17 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G and its first-ever Pro Max model, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, available in Cloud Blush and Purple Black, is priced from RM1,999, while the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, offered in Blue, Black and Purple, starts at RM1,599.
The REDMI Note 17 5G, available in Blue and Black, is priced from RM1,099, while the REDMI Note 17, an online-exclusive model, starts at RM849.
In addition, Xiaomi has unveiled a new lineup of smart wearables, including the REDMI Watch 6 Active and REDMI Watch 6 Lite, as well as a new Mist Blue colour for the REDMI Headphones Neo.
The REDMI Watch 6 Active, available in Midnight Black, Matte Silver and Sunset Orange, is priced at RM229, while the REDMI Watch 6 Lite, offered in Black and Steel Gray, is priced at RM299.
Built to keep pace with active lifestyles, the REDMI Watch 6 Active delivers up to 18 days of battery life under light usage, helping users stay connected with less frequent charging.
The watch also features Bluetooth calling for communication directly from the wrist, alongside health monitoring functions including all-day heart rate, blood oxygen and stress tracking, sleep monitoring and women’s health management.
The REDMI Headphones Neo, available in Mist Blue, is priced at RM399, equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts the noise reduction depth according to changes in environmental noise, enabling uninterrupted listening across diverse scenarios.
To mark the official arrival of the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, Xiaomi said it is bringing fans closer to the action with the “REDMI Boss for a Day: Meerqeen” event at Xiaomi Store The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur, on Sept 5, 2026.
Customers who have pre-ordered the REDMI Note 17 Pro Series are reminded to collect their devices at the store from 10 am onwards, with the first 80 eligible customers having the opportunity to gain exclusive access to a special meet-and-greet session with REDMI Note 17 Series Malaysia Ambassador Meerqeen.
The open sale for the series will run from Sept 5 to Sept 30, 2026, at Xiaomi Stores and mi.com, as well as official Xiaomi stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
Xiaomi is also partnering with Atome to offer a 0 per cent instalment plan on the Atome platform, with an additional RM100 voucher discount that can be used on top of existing discounts for customers purchasing the REDMI Note 17 Series.
