Gold Futures Close Lower Tracking US COMEX

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today tracking the weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the spot-month September 2026 contract fell to US$4,419.40 per troy ounce from US$4,477.50 per troy ounce on Friday, while the October 2026 contract decreased to US$4,435.60 per troy ounce from US$4,491.30.

The November 2026 contract declined to US$4,452.50 per troy ounce from US$4,509.70 per troy ounce, while the December 2026, February 2027 and April 2027 contracts slipped to US$4,460.30 per troy ounce from US$4,517.50 per troy ounce previously.

Trading volume increased to 320 lots from 302 lots on last Friday while open interest rose to 378 contracts from 357 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,415.40 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 4, 2026.
