Gold Futures Close Higher, Tracking US COMEX

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the steady performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the spot-month September 2026 contract increased to US$4,409.10 per troy ounce from US$4,404.70 per troy ounce on Tuesday, while October 2026 gained to US$4,424.50 per troy ounce from US$4,420.10 per troy ounce yesterday.

November 2026 improved to US$4,438.80 per troy ounce from US$4,434.70 per troy ounce, while December 2026, February 2027 and April 2027 rose to US$4,446.60 per troy ounce from US$4,442.50 per troy ounce previously.

Trading volume decreased to 213 lots from 296 lots yesterday, while open interest trimmed to 266 contracts from 346 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,399.10 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 8, 2026.
