Citaglobal Unit Bags RM82.1 Mln Subcontract To Build Residential College
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- Citaglobal Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Citaglobal Land Sdn Bhd, has secured a design-and-build subcontract worth RM82.1 million to construct a residential college.
Citaglobal said its unit has accepted a letter of award dated Aug 20, 2026, from Purnama Base Sdn Bhd to develop the college at Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Bahasa Melayu in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur.
“The IPG contract is for a period of 22 months and scheduled for completion on June 30, 2028, or such other revised completion date as may be determined in accordance with the terms of the IPG contract,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
In a statement, Citaglobal said the project forms part of the government development initiative within the education sector, implemented through Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR).
It noted that JKR is the employer under the main contract, while Purnama Base is the main contractor pursuant to a main contract with JKR dated Dec 30, 2025.
“Purnama Base has appointed Citaglobal Land as the subcontractor to undertake the design, construction and completion of the works,” it stated.
Following the acceptance of the subcontract, Citaglobal’s outstanding proforma order book stands at approximately RM1.5 billion as at June 30, 2026.
The subcontract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings, earnings per share and net assets over the contract period.
