India’s Motherson Group Making Its Entry Into Malaysia

NEW DELHI, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- India’s Motherson Group is launching its entry into Malaysia, drawing on the country’s exceptional talent, digital infrastructure, and regional connectivity to build and grow its information technology (IT) and technology solutions business. 

This was revealed during its meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in New Delhi today to explore new areas of collaboration between Malaysia and the group.

The company, led by its president and head of chairman’s office, Sanjay Mehta, and other key representatives, shared its plan for Malaysia. 

No other details were made available.

The Motherson Group is a major global design, engineering, and manufacturing specialist headquartered in Delhi, India. Also known as Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, it ranks among the top automotive suppliers in the world.

It operates over 425 facilities across 47 countries with more than 200,000 employees.

Motherson is one the four companies that had business meetings with Anwar in the Indian capital today.

Anwar arrived here Friday to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit. This is his second visit to India as Prime Minister, with the first being in August 2024.
