Hextar Industries Falls After RM178 Mln Llaollao Deal Terminated

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Hextar Industries Bhd’s share price fell in early trading on Monday after its RM177.48 million deal to acquire a 51 per cent stake in the Malaysian master franchisee of llaollao frozen yoghurt was terminated.

At 10.31 am, Hextar Industries’ share price eased one sen to 77 sen, with 4.95 million shares traded.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, the company said its proposed acquisition of a 51 per cent equity interest in Woodpeckers Group Sdn Bhd for RM177.48 million in cash had fallen through after certain conditions of the deal were not fulfilled.

It said the sale and purchase agreement (SPA), which was subsequently varied and supplemented by a supplemental agreement dated June 23, 2026, had lapsed.
