MATRADE Welcomes PROTON As MIHAS 2026 Official Mobility Partner With The Provision Of 20 Vehicles
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) welcomes PROTON’s participation as the official mobility partner for the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026, involving the provision of 20 vehicles to support logistics management and the movement of international delegates throughout the event.
MATRADE said in a statement today that a symbolic handover of 20 PROTON vehicles took place at Menara MATRADE, attended by its chief executive officer Datuk Indera Abu Bakar Yusof and PROTON deputy chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.
“PROTON’s presence not only ensures smooth logistics and the movement of international delegates but also demonstrates the solidarity of strong local brands in elevating Malaysia’s profile in the international trade arena,” said MATRADE.
Abu Bakar said PROTON’s participation as the official mobility partner also offers international delegates the opportunity to experience firsthand vehicles produced by a local company.
“We hope this collaboration inspires more local companies to leverage MIHAS as a platform to expand their networks and global visibility,” he said.
MIHAS 2026, marking its 22nd edition, carries the theme “Shaping Trust, Driving Resilience.”
Key components of MIHAS 2026 include an exhibition segment covering 14 strategic clusters, the International Sourcing Programme (INSP), the Knowledge Hub, the MIHAS Awards, and Women in Export (WiEX).
