KLCI Futures End Lower Tracking Underlying Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday in line with the underlying cash market’s performance.

The September 2026 contract fell 11 points to 1,643.0, October 2026 and December 2026 both declined 9.5 points to 1,642.5 and 1,649.5, and the March 2027 contract decreased eight points to 1,635.0.

Turnover rose to 7,670 lots from 7,468 lots on Thursday, while open interest increased to 48,164 contracts from 47,713 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 9.18 points, or 0.54 per cent, to 1,665.56 from Thursday’s close of 1,674.74.
