EcoWorld Posts Higher Net Profit Of RM112.16 Mln In 3Q

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- Eco World Development Group Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM112.16 million for the third quarter ended July 31, 2026 (3Q 2026), compared with RM101.17 million in the same quarter last year.

Revenue also increased to RM971.53 million from RM761.93 million previously.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, EcoWorld said revenue and gross profit for the quarter increased by 27.5 per cent and 19.4 per cent, respectively, mainly due to higher cumulative total locked-in sales recognised compared with 3Q 2025.

“The main projects contributing to revenue and gross profit in 3Q 2026 were Eco Botanic, Eco Spring, Eco Tropics, Eco Business Park I and Eco Business Park II in the Southern region and Eco Majestic, Eco Forest, Eco Grandeur and Eco Business Park V in the Central region,” it said.

Separately, EcoWorld president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Chang Khim Wah said the group had surpassed its financial year 2026 sales target of RM4.0 billion, with RM4.05 billion in sales recorded in the first 10 months of the financial year.

“Including the agreement inked on Sept 22, 2026 with Tera Data Centers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for RM1.01 billion, our sales have exceeded the RM5.0 billion mark for the first time,” he said.

Chang also said sales of the SME Core products at Eco Business Park VII have continued to grow, with RM942 million in sales secured in just 10 months of its launch, mainly from local industrialists.

“This demonstrates the resilience, depth and strength of domestic manufacturing demand from a broad spectrum of industries, which will add to the creation of meaningful skilled employment in the state for Malaysian employees.

“Combined with sustained interest from foreign industrialists in both the digital and non-digital sectors, it augurs well for sustained strong contributions from the industrial segment, which will be amplified when Eco Business Park 8 in Kulai, Johor, is launched in 2027,” he said.

The company declared a third interim dividend of two sen per share for 3Q 2026, bringing total dividends declared for the financial period to six sen per share compared with five sen in the corresponding period last year.
