DALI Alliance Opens Submissions For 2027 Lighting Awards
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- The DALI Alliance has opened submissions for the 2027 DALI Lighting Awards, inviting innovative lighting projects worldwide that demonstrate the capabilities of DALI technology.
According to DALI Alliance in a statement, entries are open until Jan 8, 2027, with the winners to be announced at DALI 27, the first global DALI Summit + Expo.
The annual awards recognise projects that demonstrate intelligent lighting control, high-quality design and innovative applications of the open DALI standard for digital lighting control.
“Every year, our awards programme impressively demonstrates how DALI contributes to excellent lighting design. The award-winning projects highlight the wide range of features and benefits that DALI offers for a diverse array of applications,” said DALI Alliance General Manager, Paul Drosihn.
The 2027 awards will recognise projects for creativity, technical expertise and practical effectiveness across 14 application and innovation categories. Application categories include residential, commercial interior, commercial exterior, industrial, entertainment, events and public venues, and smart cities and infrastructure.
Innovation categories include Best Use of D4i, Best Emergency Lighting Integration, Best Human Centric Design, Best Integration into Other Systems, Innovation in Lighting, Sustainability & Energy Efficiency, and Best Use of DALI+ or DALI Gateways.
Projects must have been completed between January 2024 and January 2026, while anyone involved in an eligible project can submit an entry free of charge.
Winners will be selected by an international jury comprising lighting designers, editors from leading lighting trade publications and representatives of industry organisations from Europe, the United States and China.
The winners will be announced in early 2027, with the awards presented at DALI 27 in Utrecht. The summit aims to provide an international platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and innovation across the global DALI ecosystem.
