FBM KLCI Futures Open Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Thursday, tracking the weaker underlying cash market.

At 9.30 am, the September 2026 contract eased 6.5 points to 1,635.0, October 2026 contract shed 5.5 points to 1,636.0, December 2026 contract slipped nine points to 1,641.5, while March 2027 contract declined 11 points to 1,623.5.

Turnover stood at 1,879 lots, while open interest totalled 39,052 contracts.

At 9.34 am, the FBM KLCI fell 5.67 points to 1,645.50 from Wednesday's close of 1,651.17.
