KLCI Futures End Lower, Tracking Weaker Underlying Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday, tracking the underlying spot market.

The new spot month October 2026 eased 28 points to 1,613.5, the November 2026 contract stood at 1,616.0, the December 2026 contract slid 29.5 points to 1,621.0, and the March 2027 contract shed 28.5 points to 1,606.0.

Turnover declined to 10,278 lots from 10,947 lots on Wednesday, while open interest contracted to 48,257 contracts from 51,407 contracts previously.

 At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 20.81 points, or 1.26 per cent, to 1,630.36 from Wednesday’s close of 1,651.17.
