Global K-Seafood Campaign Launched Featuring ZEROBASEONE
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has launched a global K-Seafood campaign to raise awareness of Korean seafood and its diverse appeal amid K-food’s growing global popularity.
The campaign leverages the global recognition and influence of K-Culture to position K-Seafood as a distinctive brand, with K-POP group ZEROBASEONE selected as the featured artist to introduce its appeal to global consumers.
Under the slogan “Give it a Kick, Dive into K-Seafood”, the campaign delivers a clear, memorable message to establish a strong global brand identity with four dynamic videos featuring seafood products in an engaging and visually compelling way.
The ministry in a statement said a highlight of the campaign is its creative approach to presenting each product’s characteristics through trendy expressions and playful language familiar to younger generations.
For flatfish, the campaign highlights the theme of “GAK”, a Korean word referring to an angle or edge, with the message “No.1 K-Flatfish! The world-class GAK!” while the oyster product focuses on the Korean slang “POM”, referring to style, presence or impressive form, with the message “Try the POM of K-Oyster. Best bang for your buck”.
Korean dried laver, known as GIM, features the message “The absolute crispiness. A ZZIN hit that hooked the world”, highlighting the product as an authentic must-have for its signature crispy texture.
Using the slang “DDING” to express surprise or admiration, the abalone product presents K-Abalone as a must-try seafood hit that leaves a lasting impression from the very first bite.
The ministry expects the campaign to highlight the quality and appeal of Korean seafood worldwide amid rising global interest in K-culture and K-food, while continuing to actively promote and raise awareness of K-Seafood through diverse international content and initiatives.
