KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Underlying Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Friday, tracking the underlying cash market.

The October 2026 rose 9.0 points to 1,622.5, the November 2026 contract gained 7.0 points to 1,623.0, the December 2026 contract added 8.0 points to 1,629.0 and the March 2027 contract increased 7.5 points to 1,613.5.

Turnover declined to 7,770 lots from 10,278 lots on Thursday, while open interest contracted to 47,940 contracts from 48,257 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 0.51 of a point, or 0.03 per cent, to 1,630.87 from Thursday’s close of 1,630.36.
