KYZEN Expands Penang Operations, Strengthens Advanced Manufacturing Commitment

GEORGE TOWN, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- KYZEN Corporation, which provides precision cleaning solutions for electronics and advanced manufacturing, opened its new facility in Penang today, marking a significant expansion in its operations after more than 16 years here.

In a joint statement, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and KYZEN said the new facility expands the company’s operational and staffing capacity to support growing customers across Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.

KYZEN said the facility, a substantial financial commitment, is designed to enhance production capacity, product delivery and technical support. It enables the company to adopt advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable operating practices.

The facility will support customers in key sectors including semiconductors, electronics, automotive, medical devices and industrial manufacturing. It will also strengthen KYZEN’s ability to provide innovative and environmentally responsible cleaning solutions.

Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Sim Tze Tzin said the expansion demonstrates KYZEN’s confidence in Malaysia as a strategic hub for advanced manufacturing and technology-driven industries.

“This expansion is a commitment to innovation, people and the future of advanced manufacturing. It also brings world-class cleaning technologies and technical expertise closer to customers in Southeast Asia, while creating opportunities for local talent and industry collaboration,” he said.

Meanwhile, MIDA chief executive officer Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said KYZEN’s expansion after more than 16 years reflects continued confidence in Malaysia’s manufacturing ecosystem.

The expansion supports the country’s semiconductor, electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors and aligns with the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 to strengthen industrial capabilities, deepen domestic linkages and advance technology.

MIDA said Malaysia’s manufacturing sector secured RM51.3 billion in approved investments involving 973 projects in the first half of 2026, with the agency continuing to facilitate investors in implementing and expanding their operations.

KYZEN president and chief operating officer R. Erik Miller said the new facility enables the company to serve regional customers better, create quality employment opportunities and support the development of advanced manufacturing capabilities.

“We are proud to continue delivering our industry-leading chemistries and laboratory services from this improved space,” he said.
