KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Engineering services provider MyDCD Bhd has signed an underwriting agreement with TA Securities Holdings Bhd in conjunction with its proposed listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

TA Securities will act as the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for the IPO.

MyDCD said the initial public offering (IPO) exercise entails a public issue of 335 million new ordinary shares, of which 89.7 million shares will be offered to the Malaysian public via balloting and underwritten by TA Securities.

Meanwhile, 36 million shares will be offered to eligible directors, employees and persons who have contributed to the success of MyDCD and its subsidiary, and 50.71 million shares will be made available to selected investors via private placement, it said in a statement today.

The remaining 158.59 million new shares will be offered to selected bumiputera investors approved by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), MyDCD said.

The IPO also involves an offer for sale of 145 million existing shares, comprising 79.34 million shares to selected investors and 65.66 million shares to selected bumiputera investors approved by MITI, both via private placement.

Chief executive officer Chris Ow Yong said the IPO would provide the company with the resources to strengthen its project and engineering capabilities, expand its workforce and enhance its operational infrastructure as it moves towards its proposed ACE Market listing.

“More importantly, it will enable us to build on our existing capabilities and pursue opportunities across the growing data centre ecosystem and further cement our position as a trusted mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems (MEPF) partner in Malaysia's data centre industry,” he said.

MyDCD is expected to be listed on the ACE Market in the fourth quarter of 2026.
