Gold Futures End Higher, Tracking COMEX Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on Friday, tracking gains on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the October 2026 contract rose to US$4,196.10 per troy ounce from US$4,133.50 yesterday, while the November 2026 contract went up to US$4,212.40 per troy ounce from US$4,150.10.

The December 2026 contract climbed to US$4,228.90 per troy ounce from US$4,166.60 on Thursday, while the January 2027, February 2027 and April 2027 contracts increased to US$4,228.90 from US$4,166.60 previously.

Trading volume inched up to 79 lots from 77 lots on Thursday, while open interest improved to 161 contracts from 153 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,124.55 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on Oct 8.
