Bursa Malaysia Remains Lower At Mid-Afternoon

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia stayed lower in mid-afternoon trading on persistent selling in selected heavyweight counters.

However, analysts said the rally on Wall Street could spill over to the local market today, although the index may remain range-bound.

Late-session bargain hunting could lend support to the index, alongside Malaysia’s advance estimate of third-quarter gross domestic product (GDP), which showed the economy expanding by 5.3 per cent.
