Denodo AI Data Layer Yields 290 Pct ROI - Study

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- Denodo, an artificial intelligence (AI) data layer company, announced that deploying its AI data layer can deliver a 290 per cent return on investment (ROI) over three years, citing an independent study.

The study, "The ROI of an AI Data Layer for Agentic AI", conducted by research firm Veqtor8, compared the economic and operational benefits of Denodo’s AI data layer with those of fragmented, custom-built data systems.

The figures are based on a composite financial model representing the average size of the enterprises interviewed, scaling from 100 AI agents in year one to 900 in year three across 100 data sources.

According to the study, the platform allows companies to deploy AI agents three times faster and cut AI operating costs by 68 per cent, as the amount of data sent to AI models falls from about 18,000 tokens to 5,760 tokens per task.

It also found that integration maintenance costs fall by 79 per cent and policy administration effort by 76 per cent.

“By unifying access, semantics, and centralised policy enforcement across distributed data estates without requiring massive data relocation, the Denodo Platform provides the essential foundation for trusted, enterprise-grade AI agents,” said Denodo Chief Technology Officer, Alberto Pan.

The research was based on in-depth interviews with enterprise practitioners, hyperscalers and technology partners at global banks, telecommunications groups, chemical manufacturers and logistics companies, according to Denodo in a statement.

Without a unified data layer, each AI agent needs its own custom connections and security controls for every data source, the study said. In regulated industries, a single agent may access 30 to 50 different systems.
